We went to the grocery store yesterday and Jimmy found these beautiful roses! Some kind of hybrid...aren't they gorgeous? Not sure what kind they are (coming from an ex-florist) but these are a new one even for me! But........stay tuned. I am getting my kitchen re-done, next week. New Granite countertops, new appliances, sink, faucet, etc. Pictures forthcoming!

I NEVER get tired of watching them!!!!

Well.....Jimmy and his Big Green Egg are cooking dinner, Steak, Hamburger, chicken sweet corn and sweet onions! He tends to go a little overboard.....to say the least! But, with a salad, we'll have meals for the rest of the week! The funniest part is that we have no corn stickers, so Jimmy, of course, uses his 4" galvanized screws..and a drill.......it worked! Really good!

Well, we've packed up and headed West to the mountains for a couple of weeks, until we go back for the Texas NASCAR race. For the first time in 5 years we aren't at Bristol for the race, this weekend....so, I will be parked in front of the TV!
The weather is 66 degrees and bright, clear sunshine! Headed to town for lunch, then the grocery store..... We're the only ones in the RV resort, so far...the rest will be coming back in a few weeks.....but I love it when no ones here!

The sun came out, beautiful day, ice melted, 55 degrees and crazy Steelers and Packers fans were everywhere walking around in T-Shirts! All the ice storm weather was forgiven.
They are talking that there will be clouds and drizzle at kick-off time, tomorrow....but that's okay, it's 70 in Jerryworld!

Wow, Texas has just had the 2 coldest days in 20 years! The high today was 21 with the high yesterday only 11.

The Steelers and the Packers should feel right at home, but it's supposed to be back up in the 50s on Saturday. Besides....it's 70 degrees inside the Superbowl Stadium! (wimps!)

ESPN has set up a huge tent, downtown, where they will hold all their TV interviews, etc.....

Well......Lights, camera, action! Downtown Fort Worth is a nightmare to drive in, if you happen to work there. It's quite a sight, all the kleig lights, preparation and Pittsburgh Steelers' fans are everywhere.

The Green Bay Packers are staying in Dallas and the two teams shall meet in Arlington at the Fabulous Cowboy Stadium... otherwise known as "Jerryworld"! (Jerry Jones, the owner)

My friend David, just got back from Antarctica...his "list" was to set foot on all the continents, and he has now done that! The Emporer penguins were adorable he said, sliding around on their tummies, quite an adventure, breaking through the ice, they even had a couple of helicopters on the ship, so they could go up on the ice shelves, etc.!! Great pictures!

After talking to his uncle, Jimmy had to try The Big Green Egg! It's a really neat ceramic grill. He got so carried away, that after he cooked his beer-butt chicken, he cooked some bratwurst......then when I was going to bake some cookies....he decided to cook them on the grill, too!

Merry Christmas!! My brother Bill and his wife came up from El Paso and we went to the Inn of the Mountain Gods, Casino and Resort for a HUGE buffet at Wendell's (restaurant). Boy am I stuffed!

Snow on the mountain.....skiing soon! Not me....Jimmy!

Well...no snow, but we took a drive through downtown Ruidoso and saw some really great lights! But...they're talking snow on Thursday night, maybe we'll have a white Christmas!

IT'S DONE!!!!

After 5 weeks....it's finally done! The walls are all peach colored (the lighting makes it look yellow) with pewter faucets and accessories, veined, mocha marble fireplace and mocha shower, brown glass vessel sinks with sand colored onyx countertops and a "brainstorm bronze" (grayish bronze) paint around the mirror and door frames. Then, for color, I decided to do dark olive green towels for accent! I went and picked out the tub...a new Jetta with 7 jets. It is guaranteed not to lose a degree in temperature in 30 minutes.....and they mean it! No more adding hot water to your bath!!

Now that it's done, of course, Jimmy wants to head West, to New Mexico, for Christmas and New Year's. Talk to you soon!

Been enjoying a nice vacation in New Mexico, beautiful sunsets, a couple of days of snow.....but it didn't stick, because it warmed up to 50 in the day.

Had a nice Turkey dinner at the Kokopelli Country Club - buffett with one of my brothers and his wife, then started packing up and cleaning up getting ready to go home on Saturday.

For those of you who have known me for years......You'll know that Ty, one of my brothers, used to play drums for Ricky Nelson, in the 70's. Ricky had precious twin little tow headed blond sons in 1967. The Nelsons came to the Spencer theater in Alto, New Mexico and we went to see them, last night! Ty couldn't be here, but my other brother, Bill and I got our picture taken with them.....kinda felt full circle! Very nice young men.....great to meet them!

Here is my nephew Sean, with Matthew Nelson in 1992! Matthew doesn't look like a Swedish chick anymore......he cut his hair, he's now 43 years old!!!

Next is the guest bathroom,
the countertop they made.....was in the wrong color!

The good news is that it went with the cabinets well, so I am changing the color of the tile floor. The shower pan in the master bath was the wrong measurement, then the drain in my sink was bright chrome, instead of pewter.....so it will be changed...there have been several "uh-ohs" that have been caught.....I can only imagine what it will be like when Jimmy decides to start building the house in New Mexico!

Speaking of which, we are going to spend Thanksgiving there again, this year.....but dinner courtesy of Kokopelli Country Club. I'M NOT COOKIN!!!

After the weekend at the races, we had to hurry home to meet the remodeling people at 9am, Monday morning. These pictures are of the master bath....I'll put in finished pictures when they finish!
